Question:
USPS customs form number is different than the number from the receipt.?

While I was shipping a package to Brazil, the receptionist charged me for the postage first and then gave me a customs form to fill out. I did a mistake in the customs form and asked a different lady to give me a new one. So, I finished filling in the customs form and gave it to the receptionist. She checked the form and everything was okay.

However, I have noticed the customs form number is different than the number shown in the receipt. I now realized that the customs number from the receipt is from the old form I made a mistake in. Is this a huge problem? Do I have to go to the post office ASAP? Please help me. Thank you.

By then, there's probably nothing left for you to do. All you have to do is wait to see if the package is delivered back to your house or your partner in Brazil got it.

Actually it probably was good that you got it corrected. The info from the Customs Declaration is electronically forwarded to the country where it is going, so that when the package arrives the data on the form may already have been approved and your package will move faster for delivery.
