I have a long trip ahead and i was hoping to bring some baked "goodies" for the 14 hour plane ride. Am i allowed to bring baked goods on and are they going to have a dog sniff my baked goodies? Are they going to check? Do baked goodies even have the special smell to them or are they safe?

When i say baked goodies, i mean "special" brownies, if you understand what im saying.

I wouldn't risk attempting to bring "special" brownies on a plane.

If it's a domestic flight you might be OK but if it's international (and 14 hs pretty much guaruntees it's international) it's not worth the risk. Every major international airport I've been to has serious security and dogs. By serious security I mean one time I saw guardsmen with AK-47 type guns, mkay? I usually see dogs in the luggage retrieval area, but that doesn't mean they only keep them there.

Plus sometimes security does a chemical sniff test -- sniffing for bomb components, but I don't know if the machine they use also checks for drug odors.

Plus in many countries weed is REALLY REALLY illegal-- like in Singapore, they'll put you away for many years or if they think you're trafficking, you could get the death penalty. Even withing the US if you're caught bringing drugs across state lines it's a Federal offense and the punishment is WAY HARSH.

Just munch down on your brownie right before you go through security. If you're worried about being sober on the plane (geez), most flights have alcohol. Plus you can always bring along a Valium (make sure it's not in a perscription container with someone else's name on it) or Unisom to just sleep through the flight.

You're obviously allowed to bring your own food onto a plane. The risk of search depends on your departure/arrival locations. Make a small batch and pack it with other foods and keep it on your person. Hold it like your lunch and you shouldn't have a problem at most 'ports.

p.s. A drug dog can pick out a "special" brownie.

Just don't bring any liquids with you. They will give you something to drink on the plane.

P.S. Do you know what they do to people who bring "special" brownies to Singapore?

Yes, they can sniff them out. I wouldn't chance it if I were you......anytime you get arrested on a plane it's a federal offense. Is it really worth it?

Good luck! Happy travels!

not unless you are willing to share with all the passengers that will have to endure such a great aroma on board!!

Yes, they still smell. I wouldn't take a chance, if I were you.
